# Love Me Some Drivers!!
Are you a skilled Truck Driver looking to transition into something new? ADS, a family-owned company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, has been propelling the freight industry forward for over 52 years. Known for our tagline, “The beet goes on,” we’re proud to operate as an interstate private carrier with a solid fleet of 123 trucks and a team of 456 dedicated drivers. We specialize in hauling various goods, including intermodal containers, grain, feed, and dry bulk commodities.
We are currently seeking experienced Class A Truck Drivers to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This full-time W2 position includes competitive pay at $35.00 per hour. Our operations are local, and you’ll be tasked with hauling through the Southeast region from Port Tampa—the 15th largest port in the world!
## Your Responsibilities:
– Safely operate commercial vehicles, primarily tractor trailers, to transport loads
– Navigate varying weather conditions such as rain and ensure timely deliveries
– Everyone’s safety is paramount; hence we do not allow DUIs or reckless violations
– Operate with a clear accident threshold, ensuring no more than two accidents and three violations
## Qualifications:
– Minimum of 5 years of driving experience with at least 500,000 miles on the road
– A Class A CDL with Doubles/Triples endorsements
– Proven experience with blind backing and navigating ports
– Familiarity with general freight handling—these are no-touch freight roles
## **Nice to Have:**
– Experience with Box Trucks, Yard Dogs, Fork Lifts, Front Loaders, Skid Steers, and navigating rail yards, as well as driving in challenging terrains like snow, mountains, and desert.
