Executive Summary

Maude transforms trucking back-office operations by reducing hiring complexity, strengthening compliance, and cutting driver processing workload by up to 75%.  Ideal for small and medium sized carriers, she starts as a personal AI chatbot but quickly becomes the indispensable operating system for motor carrier back-office driver operations

Maude Overview

At SlipSeat, our original mission was to solve localized truck driver shortages at U.S. ports using a geospatial marketplace platform, but as we launched, the freight market collapsed.

While waiting for volumes to recover, our team built an AI backend to automate many of the processes within our own Driver Operations.  As new U.S. tariff policies slowed imports and further reduced port activity, we transformed that backend into something more powerful: an AI back-end operating system for our customers.  We named her Maude.

Our customers are motor carriers, better known as trucking companies.  They range from large organizations with established technology stacks to small, low-tech operators, some of which don’t even have a website.  Automated front-ends are common, but very few have an automated back-end.  Because of the complexity, most still process drivers by hand.

Maude can scale effortlessly and helps carriers grow by streamlining workflows, maximizing margins, and improving operational visibility.  She reduces a carrier’s workload which in turn frees up a carrier’s time.

More than an AI Assistant, Maude becomes the brain and nervous system for a carrier’s back‑office operations.  She can suggest truck routing based on live weather and traffic, optimize staffing and scheduling models, explain DOT regs, analyze operations data, draft contracts, search load boards, and generate DQF documents.  All within one connected system.

Maude makes advanced driver operations possible for all carriers by automating time consuming processes that fall between “We need to hire a driver” and “Welcome aboard,”

Maude is AI Truck Driver Hiring in a box.  Even companies still running entirely on paper can immediately benefit.  With just a few minutes and a smartphone, any carrier can be optimizing their operations using AI.
